What I’ve done in the past:
Don started in the financial services industry in 1977.
After 26 years involvement in all facets of banking and finance, his desire to work closer with clients led him to leave the corporate world behind and switch to the more personalised area of financial planning and investment advisory.
My approach to working with clients:
It is this same dedication and collaborative approach that Don brings to his Financial Advisory role to assist clients to achieve their financial and lifestyle goals.
What I enjoy at work
Working closely with clients to achieve their goals, ensuring that their futures can be as secure as possible.
The constantly changing financial landscape which is often challenging for advisors and clients alike, this challenge keeps you alert and young of mind.
What I enjoy out of work:
Don is an avid golfer, actively getting involved in administration, serving on club committees and regional boards, having held positions as Regional Vice President, Team Manager / Selector.
Don is an advocate for junior sport which enhances children's participation and gains immense satisfaction when the light comes on in children's eyes when they realise what they have achieved from their own effort for themselves.
Don is supported by Sue his wife who has her own craft business which is evolving since the departure of their two adult sons, Alex (Wellington) and Joel (London) both having completed their design degrees in Otago.
